Satsuma High School offers three levels of basketball for girls in grades 7-12: Jr. High (7-8), JV (9-10), and Varsity (9-12). Tryouts are held every spring, and preseason strength and conditioning and summer competitions begin in early June.

Meet the Coaches
Justin Harris, Head Coach

Coach Harris begins his fourth season as Head Girls Basketball Coach. He brings years of coaching experience from the court to the football field. He graduated from Mattie T. Blount High School, earning scholarships to play football at several colleges. As a player, Coach Harris was coached by Hall of Famer Ben Harris and Arthur Haynes.
Harris played at the University of Alabama Birmingham and later transferred to the University of South Alabama, where he continued his football career, and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Leisure Studies. He is currently working on his degree in Sports Marketing.
Coach Harris has coached at his Alma Mater and Spanish Fort (State Champions 2012), McGill-Toolen Catholic (State Semi-Finalist 2013), and Cottage Hill Christian.
In addition to his head coaching role, Coach Harris serves as one of Satsuma High School athletes' strength and conditioning coaches.

Welcome to SATSUMA HIGH SCHOOL Women's Basketball!
The Lady Gators finished the 2021-22 season with a 17-13 record and are excited about the challenges ahead with returning sophomore and Team MVP Kaeden Enzor, junior shooting guard Braley Weaver and senior point guard Chloe Tarver, who is set to reach 1,000 points for her high school career. Join us in the Swamp for what promises to be an exciting 2022-23 season.
