All resident and nonresident students must meet placement requirements to enroll in Coastal Alabama Community College Dual Enrollment courses at Satsuma High School.

Important Deadline: to enroll in the Fall 2026 Dual Enrollment program, all placement requirements must be completed and submitted to Satsuma City Schools by July 24, 2026 for consideration. 

• Option 1 - Accuplacer Placement Test 
  • Testing offered at Satsuma High School during the spring at no cost
  • Testing outside of the school year must be completed at Coastal Alabama at no cost.
  • If a student must retake the Accuplacer, there is a $25 retest fee.
  • Summer 2026 testing dates are available between May 26 and July 24 at Coastal Alabama Community College in Bay Minette. Please contact Lee Jay at ljay@satsumaschools.com or Giselle Mansi at giselle.mansi@coastalalabama.edu for information about scheduling a test.
     
• Option 2 - ACT Scores (Benchmark)
  • Must meet the required benchmarks set by Coastal Alabama
    • Minimum required scores:
      • Math: 22+
      • English/ELA: 18+

  • Submit official scores to Satsuma High School through the ACT portal
