Nonresident Students
Interested in joining Satsuma High School as a nonresident student and taking advantage of Dual Enrollment opportunities in partnership with Coastal Alabama Community College? Follow the steps below to get started and enroll for Fall 2026.
✔ Apply to Satsuma High School
✔ Complete your Dual Enrollment placement testing
✔ Meet all deadlines in time for Registration Day
✔ Start earning college credit early
Step 1: Apply to Satsuma High School
- Complete the Non-Resident Application Packet
- Submit the packet along with the $25 application fee
- Applications must be submitted by July 16, 2026
Once your application is reviewed, you will be notified of acceptance.
Step 2: Meet Dual Enrollment Placement Requirements
Before enrolling in Dual Enrollment courses, students must meet college readiness benchmarks through one of the following:
Option 1: Accuplacer Testing
- Schedule and complete the Accuplacer test by contacting Lee Jay at Satsuma High School at (251) 380-8190 or ljay@satsumaschools.com
- Testing is administered through Coastal Alabama Community College at the Bay Minette campus
- Scores are sent to Satsuma High School within 2–3 business days
- Deadline to test: July 24
Option 2: ACT Scores
- Minimum required scores:
- Math: 22+
- English/ELA: 18+
- Submit official scores to Satsuma High School through the ACT portal
Step 3: Receive Acceptance & Prepare for Enrollment
- Once approved for Dual Enrollment, you will receive confirmation from Satsuma High School
- Review your course options and pathway plan
- Prepare for Registration Day (July 30, 2026)
Step 4: Pay Tuition & Fees
- Satsuma City Schools Nonresident Tuition: $950 a year
- Sibling discounts available
- Tuition must be paid by July 16, 2026
Step 5: Register for Classes
- Attend Satsuma High School Registration Day: July 29, 2026
- Finalize your course schedule
- Ensure all paperwork and payments are complete
Step 6: Prepare for Your First Day
- First Day of Classes: August 11, 2026
