Qualifications: Associates Degree-Early Childhood Education Bachelor of Science- Elementary Education Master of Education- Library Media Specialist Certified as Middle School Generalist Highly Qualified to teach Math, English, and Science
Mission: The media center will enable individuals and staff with the ability to find, read, evaluate, utilize, share and create content using various digital devices.
Hours: The media center can accommodate learners/teachers from 7:00 a.m. until 2:50 p.m. Earlier or later times may be available with prior arrangements. (See Mrs. Anderson)
Rules and Procedures: The library is for every student and staff member in the school. It can be used for digital café, computers, pleasure reading, and to check out library books.
Teachers may schedule classes or may send up to five students at a time with a library pass, as long as there is room. Passes are not accepted from a substitute unless prior arrangements have been made by the regular classroom teacher.
A student may check out up to two books for a two-week period. Books may be renewed, as long as it does not have a hold.
Students must have their ID to check out the library and or textbooks.
Students must sign in and out when coming to the library on a pass.
Students are responsible for all damaged/lost library/textbooks.
Students may print for $0.25 per page for black and white and $1.00 per page for color. Students need to download the WEPA print app and add funds to their accounts for printing using the print kiosk.
Students will be assessed a damage fee of $5.00 for removing the barcode from any book.
Students will be assessed a late fee of $25.00 if any textbook is not returned by the last day of school. If the book is not returned at all, the student will be assessed a replacement fee that will be added to school fees for the following year. If the missing book is returned at registration the replacement fee may be waived, but the late fee will be charged regardless.
